Alejandro Domínguez confirmed the prizes for matches won in the group stage of Conmebol Libertadores and Sudamericana
Domínguez ratified what Conmebol had already made official last month and after the publication of its budget for this 2023: the clubs will receive for the first time in history economic prizes for each game won in the group stage of Libertadores and Sudamericana.
The Confederation will award 300,000 dollars for each victory in the Libertadores zone and 100,000 to those who win the South American matches.
Among all the Conmebol club tournaments, up to 301 million dollars will be distributed in prizes for participations. In both Libertadores and Sudamericana, the prizes in group phases will be 30% higher than last year. The Libertadores champion will take 18% more than in 2022 while, in the South American, the money for whoever wins a title will be 8% more than last year.
