Netflix will make a documentary about the life of Roberto Baggio

Roberto Baggio, icon of Italian football, will have his own film that Netflix will make from its association with the Mediaset company. The documentary will be released within a year, during the European winter. The film will be directed by Letizia Lamartire and will be called "Il Divino Codino" ("The Divine Pigtail").

The documentary about Baggio's life will be the first of the seven scheduled between Mediaset and the Netflix platform. The film will tell the 22-year career of the Italian player who played in teams like Fiorentina, Juventus, Milan and Inter. In 1993, Roberto won the Golden Ball. In addition, the film will remember his participation in the World Cups in Italy 1990, the United States 1994 and France 1998.

Andrea Arcangeli will play the player in the documentary. “It's the story of a humble man with unlimited talent that has changed Italian football with his plays. We will also tell the story of a person who has achieved great victories in the field through personal suffering, ”said the director of the film. "Il Divino Codino" will premiere first on Netflix. Subsequently, one year later, it will be broadcast exclusively on Mediaset channels.
