Werder Bremen wore his Christmas shirt
The German team returned to one of their ancient rituals, playing the last game at home before Christmas with a special shirt. Modifying its shield by the mythical Christmas tree, Werder Bremen started this custom in 2002 and except in 2017, during these years it was used.
This initiative goes beyond what is related to its technical sponsors, because when it started in 2002, Kappa was the one who dressed the club. But then Nike and now Umbro, conform to this ritual, but in some cases clothing does not go on sale but products related to Christmas.
