Qatar will support Beckham's franchise in MLS

David Beckham's football project will be supported by Qatar. The new Major League Soccer franchise, Inter Miami, will carry on its chest the logo of the country that will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup in two years. According to the English newspaper The Sun, the economic agreement between the parties is of 180 million pounds (234 million dollars).

The Middle East country will use the team of the former English player to promote what will be the first World Cup in that part of the world. Previously, Beckham has had a close link with the Qatari authorities. The owner of Inter Miami was one of the first great players to pass through Paris Saint-Germain.

In 2020, Inter Miami will play its first official season in MLS with the participation of three Argentine players: Jorge Figal, Matías Pellegrini and Julián Carranza. The franchise had its first friendly match that ended in a 2 to 1 loss to Philadelphia Union.
