The world of cryptocurrencies will be at the World Cup 2022
There are fewer and fewer clubs or associations that do not have a sponsorship linked to cryptocurrencies. Being an increasingly common use among people, sports is the great stage where this virtual world of cyber-money is positioned to make itself known to skeptics and provide confidence to its "investors".
Based on this and the World Cup being the sporting event par excellence in the world of football, FIFA announced the sponsorship with Crypto.com. A deal spanning Qatar 2022 that will give the cryptocurrency brand global exposure, both on and off the field. Without disclosed amounts on the link between the two, it should be noted that the brand signed at the end of 2021 with the Los Angeles Lakers as naming rights of the stadium for the next 20 years at a value of 700 million dollars.
Crypto.com was created in 2016 and currently has more than 10 million “customers” around the world. It also has more than 4,000 employees spread across offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Looking ahead to Qatar 2022, the brand has already mentioned that it plans to activate with new and regular users, draw official merchandising and the possibility of experiencing the World Cup live and direct in the Arab country.
