The Million-Dollar Prize Won by the Argentine National Team After Winning the CONMEBOL Copa América

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) received a prize of USD 16 million from CONMEBOL, in addition to the trophy.

This is the amount awarded to the champion of the CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024, in which each of the 16 participating teams received monetary prizes of varying amounts. Merely for participating, each country received USD 2 million, and those who reached the quarter-finals received an additional USD 2 million. The 4th place team received another USD 4 million, while Uruguay, which secured 3rd place, received another USD 5 million. Colombia, the runner-up, received USD 7 million.

This prize for the albiceleste adds to those obtained for 3rd place in the 2019 CONMEBOL Copa América, the championship in the 2021 edition, and winning the World Cup in Qatar 2022, bringing the AFA to a total of USD 88 million received for the sporting achievements of the new generation of the Argentine national team.
