Wilson will provide balls for the 3x3 in Tokyo 2020
The sports brand Wilson renewed its link with the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) and became the official ball of the 3x3 tournaments in the next Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The entity that governs basketball worldwide will continue to use Wilson's products for the development of their tournaments in the 3x3 modality. Next year, during the Tokyo Games, this discipline that was born as a street sport will be developed for the first time in an Olympic way and today it has professional competences all over the world. Wilson signed a contract with the Fiba until 2028 and that gives him the possibility to ensure his presence at the Olympic Games of Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028.
"Wilson has been an integral part of the great growth that 3x3 basketball has experienced internationally and we are proud that this agreement extends to the Olympic Games from 2020 to the next few years," said Fiba General Secretary Andreas Zagklis
