Telefónica will be the technological integrator for the new Santiago Bernabéu

At the beginning of a new preseason, Real Madrid signed a new contract with the company Telefónica, which will be a sponsor until 2023 and will provide its technology in the next renovation to the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. The new role of the company will be as a technological integrator.

The president of the Spanish club, Florentino Pérez, presented a few months ago the renovation project of the mythical scenario. The reform was approved and will cost approximately 520 million euros, which will be used to modernize and expand the white house.

"This will be an improvement for the city of Madrid, it will be the best stadium in the world. It is a great opportunity to turn the stadium into a great technical platform to communicate with the world. We want it to be the great digital stadium of the future that will be paid with the income that comes with its reform, "said Florentino.

This is not Telefónica's first intervention in a stadium. Previously, the Spanish company made its contribution in the construction of the Metropolitan Wanda, place that belongs to Atlético de Madrid. On that occasion, the company generated a unique communication and connectivity infrastructure in the world.
