Javier Zanetti became the first Argentine athlete honored by the UN
Inter's vice-president received the Ibero-American Impact Award for P.U.P.I. Foundation alongside his wife Paula de la Fuente during the 80th UN General Assembly.
The recognition acknowledges the foundation's social work in education, comprehensive healthcare, nutrition, and development, promoting equal opportunities and protecting children's rights.
Zanetti stated at the ceremony: "All awards are important but this one is special coming from the United Nations. It motivates us to continue ensuring our children have a better future."
