FIFA allowed sleeve sponsorships during the Club World Cup

The Federation overturned the rule that only permitted one main front sponsor on team jerseys.

In tournaments classified as "World Cups," the regulations stated that only one brand could appear as a front sponsor, in addition to the technical sponsor on the opposite side of the badge.

According to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, the change may have been due to a request from Real Madrid to display HP, their sleeve sponsor, during the tournament.

As a result, Assist Card and Cetrogar could now appear on the jerseys of River Plate and Boca Juniors, respectively.
