Adidas presented "Al Hilm" the official ball for the final phases of the World Cup
Adidas today unveiled Al Hilm, the Official Ball of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Semi-Finals and Final. Al Hilm, which translates as "The Dream" in Arabic, continues the story started by Al Rihla, which translates as "Trip". Both have the same technology designed to provide maximum speed in matches. The textured gold color is inspired by the shimmering deserts of the region surrounding the city of Doha.
The origin of the name for the ball is connected to the twilight hours, where the red sky meets the desert sand at sunset, a time when dreams come true under the lights of Lusail Stadium, the setting for the final. Also, all components were selected with the environment in mind and it is the first to be manufactured solely with water-based inks and glues.
