Oliver Kahn will be the new Executive President of Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich does not waste time and advances its steps towards a future with a new Executive President. The multi-champion with the German team, Oliver Kahn, was elected by the club to fill the post that Karl-Heinz Rummenigge will leave after 2022. In these two years, the former archer will hold a position on the board of directors.
Oliver Kahn retired as a footballer in 2008 and in these 10 years he studied a Master in General Administration and then started his own company. The former captain of the German team will replace Rummenigge, who has held the position of Executive President since 2002 and in 2022 will turn 20 years in office. Kahn was elected by the president of Bayern Munich Uli Hoeneß. "The Titan" will handle everything related to football: new players, lower divisions, contracts, budgets and marketing.
Oliver was 14 years in the German team, played 632 official matches and won 23 titles (20 national and 3 international). “Kahn is the perfect solution for the position of Executive President, he was a relevant player in the history of our club, when he retired he took a Master's degree in Administration and knows the world of football, the business that surrounds him and carries the DNA of Bayern in the blood ”, confessed Uli Hoeneß, President of the institution.
