What is the AFA agreement with WIN Investments about?

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) announced the investment platform WIN Investments as an official sponsor, which will serve as a source of funding for all Argentine football clubs.

Win Investments is a fintech company founded in 2023 with the goal of democratizing investment in football transfer markets. Clubs will be able to commercialize their players’ training rights through tokens, which are digital representations of parts of real contracts.

As a launch for the agreement, the training rights of Lionel Messi and all World Cup champions will be available on the platform. This means that if a user wants to invest, they can purchase a share of the captain’s training rights from Newell's Old Boys, protected under FIFA's solidarity mechanism, and would receive a commission from a future transfer.

Clubs like Argentinos Juniors and Independiente had previously partnered with WIN. With the new alliance, all clubs from the first division down to regional leagues will be included on the platform. The contract will last for the next three years, and WIN will have a presence in stadiums as a sponsor.
