The New Spotify Camp Nou Has an Inauguration Date
Elena Fort, vice president of FC Barcelona, held a press conference explaining when the stadium will reopen after its renovations.
Fort stated, “The club is working to have the stadium ready by the end of December,” although this doesn’t necessarily mean that Barça will play there as soon as it opens.
FC Barcelona presented images of how the Spotify Camp Nou will look after renovations, increasing its capacity to 105,000 spectators. It will feature a renovated facade, including an aerial viewpoint from the roof, three screens on the roof, new boxes, and VIP areas that could generate additional revenue for the club.
In this way, Barcelona joins the list of European clubs that have recently renovated their stadiums, such as Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
