The massive prize FC Barcelona received for winning the Spanish Super Cup

After defeating Real Madrid in the final, the "Blaugrana" secured €8 million.

This amount includes the €6 million each team receives for participating in the Super Cup, plus an additional €2 million for winning the final. Real Madrid, as runners-up, earned a total of €7 million.

The financial reward for the Super Cup far surpasses that of any other competition in Spain. For instance, the Copa del Rey winner earns a total of €1.2 million for advancing through all rounds. Meanwhile, LALIGA does not offer a prize for the champion by regulation, though it distributes revenue from TV rights, with Real Madrid earning €53 million last season.

This stark difference between competitions is largely due to the RFEF's contract with Saudi Arabia, the host of the Spanish Super Cup for the last four editions. The deal, which runs until 2030, guarantees annual revenues of approximately €30 million for Spanish football.
