Puma unveils the new Manchester City shirts
After a great season at the sports level for the first men and women's team, Manchester City begins work in England to face a new year with great challenges. With little news in the signings, the new Puma clothing attracts all eyes and leaves fans eager to buy it. The new title shirt for the 2019/29 season is inspired by the industrial heritage of the city of Manchester, celebrating courage, struggle and personality that emerged from the cotton mills of the city. The wave pattern of the Jacquard fabric along the shirt is a visual representation of the looms, which were a fundamental part of the industrial revolution in Manchester. The iconic blue of the City is enhanced with purple, a color used in historic second teams and featured in the main uniform for the first time.
The substitute shirt celebrates the years of "Madchester", a period of extraordinary cultural activity in the late 80's and early 90's. The uniform is directly inspired by the old club The Hacienda, epicenter of music, bands, DJs and of emerging artists. Using the black color as a base, this uniform shows yellow stripes on the left shoulder; a reference to the iconic graphic identity of The Hacienda. The additions in pink and blue from Manchester City create a colorful representation of this legendary cultural icon, which was already the heart of the city.
"The partnership between Manchester City and Puma extends beyond football, we want fans from all over the world and locals to feel inserted and everything is based on the combination of our creative designs with the authenticity of the story and the scene. musical of Manchester, "said Adam Petrick, Global Brand Marketing Director of Puma.
