Nike keeps the number 1 of the WTA ranking

The match against Serena Williams at the US Open 2018 was the moment of break in her career. With only 21 years, the Japanese won the number 1 ranking and in the first days of April announced a new break in his career: He changed the technical sponsorship of adidas by Nike.

According to reports in the specialized media, Nike will disburse 8.5 million dollars a year and will incorporate Naomi to the select group of tennis ambassadors, among which are Serena Williams; Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova, among others. The new agreement was negotiated by the IMG Tennis agency, responsible for the career of the 21-year-old Japanese athlete. "Nike has a legendary history of making history in tennis and I am eager to be part of those moments for many years," said the tennis player.
