NBA star invests in Chelsea FC Women
Giannis Antetokounmpo has become a minority shareholder in the "Blues."
The Milwaukee Bucks star announced he has joined as a strategic partner to Alexis Ohanian, owner of the social media platform Reddit and holder of a 10% stake in Chelsea Women.
Ohanian, who is married to tennis legend Serena Williams, acquired that percentage in May 2025 with the goal of boosting the club's brand presence in the United States.
Giannis is not the first NBA player to invest in European football; he follows in the footsteps of LeBron James (Liverpool and AC Milan), Kevin Durant (PSG), and Steve Kerr (RCD Mallorca).
