Movistar + presents the documentary "Uruguayos"

Movistar + will premiere a documentary dedicated to Uruguayan football, which will be the fourth installment of the “The Others” program. On this occasion, the Spanish channel decided to tell the fans and the passion of the Uruguayans for the king sport.

Luis Suárez and Diego Godín, both captains of the Uruguayan national team, participate in the documentary and explain why a country with so few inhabitants has a large number of soccer players that stand out throughout the world. Uruguay has three and a half million inhabitants and is the smallest country to achieve a FIFA World Championship (twice: 1930 and 1950).

In addition to Suárez and Godín, other figures in the history of Uruguayan football appear in this film. Enzo Francescoli and Álvaro "El Chino" Recoba comment on their experience in the Rio Plata team and about the Charrúa culture, which makes the players "celestial" different. Also participating in the documentary "Uruguayans" the current coach of the selected, Oscar Washington Tabárez, who led the celestial to achieve a fourth historical place in the World Cup in South Africa 2010 and won the Copa América Argentina 2011.
