FIFA increased by 70% the prize money for clubs releasing players to the 2026 World Cup
For the first time, the world football governing body will distribute $355 million among clubs that release their players to participate in the tournament.
The aim of this increase is to strengthen solidarity and ensure a more equitable distribution on a global scale.
In Qatar 2022, $209 million were distributed among 440 clubs — a figure that will be significantly higher for the upcoming edition.
