The club with dual technical sponsors
Uruguay's Defensor Sporting played the Río de la Plata Series wearing jerseys made by Puma. However, in the official photos, their players can be seen training and arriving at the stadium in Kelme apparel.
The reason is that the "Tuerto" signed a contract with Kelme in July 2024 to become their technical sponsor starting in 2025, but the game jerseys are not ready yet—only the training and casual wear. As a result, Defensor had to play against Independiente and Gimnasia La Plata wearing Puma's 2024 model, which outfitted the club from 2020 until last year.
A similar case is that of San Lorenzo, who participated in the same summer tournament wearing Nike apparel (for both games and training) despite their contract expiring on December 30. They are awaiting the launch of jerseys from Atomik, their new technical sponsor.
