LaLiga presented Puma as its new technical sponsor
After 23 years, the next season of LaLiga will have a new technical sponsor. The Spanish contest and the American brand will end their commercial relationship, and Puma will replace them. With a five-year agreement, it will begin in 2019/2020 and will allow the company to continue to make a strong foray in world football.
According to Spanish media, the agreement would be closed several months ago and what LaLiga would seek is to obtain its own image and move away from the unified models that Nike has for Premier League and Serie A. In addition to making a unique and unrepeatable ball for another event, the German brand will make special clothing for the Spanish event and activate this sponsorship from another place.
The formalization of the start of this agreement was made today from the offices of LaLiga. With this sponsorship, Puma continues to make a strong impression in Spain, since in this event it has a presence with FC Girona and Valencia; and with players like Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez, Jan Oblak, Samuel Umtiti, Giovani Lo Celso, among others.
