Girona wants to be the first “pet friendly” club
Girona, a club that has just been promoted to the first division of Spanish football, intends to be the first pet-friendly team. For this, it is sponsored by Gosbi, an animal feed and care brand. In addition, "formulas" are being sought to study whether it is possible for mascots to also attend the stadium.
"There are a series of state regulations on how a football stadium should be accessed, but it is being studied whether it is possible to give the mascots a specific place in the stadium. So that there can be a place for everyone and the stadium is a family space and thought, also, from the animal respect", explained Ignacio Mas-Baga, CEO of the club.
