CONMEBOL and Gatorade approve the "Hydration Protocol" for Libertadores
CONMEBOL Libertadores will begin its final phase, with the round of 16. Facing the most important moment of the South American contest, the Confederation and Gatorado announced the “Hydration Protocol”. It has as its main axis four axes: Personal care, cleaning of vehicles and equipment, customization of hydration elements, and safe delivery of materials to teams.

Methodology of the "Hydration Protocol"
1) Personal care: at this stage, the professionals responsible for carrying out the hydration work during the outings will be subjected to tests (PCR test covid-10) from five days before each match, in addition to receiving all the appropriate (PPE) for its use during the loading, unloading and transfer of materials.
2) Equipment sanitization: the elements that will be transported to the delivery points will be disinfected. The refrigerators, caramels and Gatorade bottles will be subjected to strict hygiene before the game begins.
3) Customization of hydration materials: all bottles and caramels will be personalized with the number of team members and the referee team, so that each one has an individual container to hydrate during the matches®.
4) Delivery of materials: the delivery of the personalized caramels will be made in the hotels of each team one day before each game, so that the delegation can return to hygiene of the material. The GATORADE® refrigerators and bottles for hydration of each team will be delivered to the stadium, complying with the temperature measurement (37.4 °) and the use of PPE. The person in charge of hydration will carry out the organization of the substitute bench hours before the start of the game, following the recommendation to stay more than 2 meters away.
