River Plate launched a trust fund for fans to invest in the club
The “Millonario” aims to raise 20 million dollars to move forward with infrastructure projects, including a sports complex at the Monumental Stadium, a new building for the Institute, and a training facility for youth football.
The River Plate Club Financial Trust is backed by entities like Fix, which specialize in assessing investment risks. Fans can invest starting from 10 UVAs, which is approximately 12,000 pesos. The loan term is 30 months with an interest rate of 9% plus inflation.
In this way, River Plate becomes the first Argentine football club to enter the capital markets, following the model of many European clubs such as Manchester United or Juventus, which are listed on major stock exchanges around the world.
