The financial figures of CONMEBOL under the current administration

It has been 9 years since Alejandro Domínguez took charge, and CONMEBOL has shared some key indicators of his administration.

The most significant economic milestone is the increase in the Confederation’s revenue, which rose from $163.3 million in 2016 to $526.1 million in 2023, marking a 318% growth.

After the corruption scandal known as FIFA Gate in 2015, CONMEBOL recovered $128 million and reinvested 100% of it into South American football.

Other data shared by the Confederation highlights investments made in prize money. Competitions such as the CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana saw $1.6 billion invested by 2023. Additionally, $310 million was allocated to member associations (the federations of the 10 South American countries) and later distributed among local league champions.
