Budweiser celebrates 40 years as World Cup sponsor with a unique launch

The American beer brand has introduced a limited-edition collection of bottles and cans featuring the logos of the last 11 World Cups.

Each package displays the official logo of every edition from Mexico 1986 to the current one, including the names of the host countries and the years they were held.

Additionally, they feature a printed QR code that directs users to digital experiences and content filled with memories from each World Cup.

The collection has launched in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Spain, and China, but not in the United States, as AB InBev is prioritizing Michelob Ultra as its primary World Cup brand there.

Budweiser has been an official World Cup sponsor since 1986 through FIFA's alliance with the multinational AB InBev. Over several editions until 2022, it was the brand responsible for presenting the Man of the Match award, among other fan-focused activations.
