Cruyff store in Holland
Johan Cruyff is one of the most important players in the history of football. Leading the "mechanical orange" of Holland that revolutionized the sport, left an unblemished legacy in Ajax and Barcelona. Just that style and way of seeing the dynamics of football can be rediscovered to define a Champions League this year, if both set exceed the semifinals.
But Cruyff was also an icon for Sports Marketing. Starring one of the most memorable moments of this field (when he took one of the three strips of his Adidas shirt from Holland to have a contract with Puma), the Dutchman was an innovator when creating his own clothing. In 1979 he took the first step of this decision and in 1982 he partnered with the designer Emidio Lazzarini, to give another twist to his collections.
Such was the importance that the Cruyff brand won that at the 1988 Olympus Games in Seoul, it dressed the Dutch team. Being a high quality apparel with luxurious aspects, today it has two stores, in Amsterdam and Barcelona.
Just crossing the streets of Amsterdam, throbbing the Champions League duel back, we were at Cruyff's place. In the same you can find various clothing but the most important are the shirts of Holland (with the two strips), Ajax and Barcelona; You are two without the official shield of the teams, since there must not be a marketability agreement.
