KFC makes its first sports sponsorship in Brazil
Known for its fried chicken, Kentucky Fried Chicken has become an ideal companion for sports fans in the United States. Since its arrival in Latin America, the fast food chain has grown in several aspects but it has not yet entered into sports sponsorship until this last weekend. KFC became the official sponsor of the São Paulo Championship in Brazil (a tournament that brings together the main teams from São Paulo state), the first step in the sport of the brand in Brazilian territory. The agreement gave the right to the mark to stamp their logo on advertising plaques on the lawn during the games that will be broadcast on TV open by Rede Globo.
"The KFC consumer is also a great lover of football, and we are very happy to have our brand present in such a relevant tournament," said Juliana Pisani, director of marketing and innovation at KFC. In Brazil, the North American chain has 56 restaurants located in the states of San Pablo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Bahia, Ceará and Pernambuco.
