AFA to broadcast lower league football on its own platform
Following a failure to reach an agreement with television networks, matches for the Primera Nacional, B Metropolitana, Primera C, and Federal A will now be aired on LPF Play.
Launched in 2023, LPF Play is the platform that currently broadcasts reserve league and women's football matches. AFA has decreed that the first month will be free for users, with a subscription fee—the value of which is yet to be determined—starting in the second month.
Primera Nacional matches will no longer be aired on TyC Sports after a decade, ending a run that began when the network acquired the rights following the conclusion of the "Fútbol Para Todos" program in 2016.
The local football governing body also defined the television rights payment scheme for the clubs: Primera Nacional teams will receive ARS 65 million, B Metropolitana ARS 20 million, and Primera C and Federal A ARS 12 million.
