Adidas remains in German football through new Bundesliga partnership
Despite losing its kit deal with the national team, the three-stripes brand has secured an agreement as the official provider for its home country’s league.
Starting next season and running through 2034, Adidas will once again manufacture the Bundesliga match ball, replacing DerbyStar, which has served as the technical sponsor since 2018.
As part of the deal, the brand will provide a €100 million capital injection to the league, aimed at boosting the global growth of the first and second divisions, improving television broadcasts, and combating piracy.
In 2027, the German national team will switch to Nike after more than 40 years with Adidas, but the latter will maintain its presence in domestic football through this new agreement. Currently, Adidas is the technical sponsor for four top-flight clubs: Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, Union Berlin, and Hamburger SV.
