TikTok will feature exclusive 2026 World Cup content

FIFA has selected the social network as its first-ever "Preferred Platform," aiming to boost fan interaction and unlock new broadcasting possibilities for the expanded 48-team tournament.

Under this new alliance, active through December 2026, official broadcast rights holders will be able to livestream match segments and share curated clips directly on TikTok. They will also have access to "TikTok GamePlan," a tool designed to turn fan engagement into measurable business results through premium advertising.

FIFA will create an official content hub on the platform to share exclusive material from all 48 participating nations. This hub will also offer interactive features like custom stickers, filters, and gamification elements to keep the younger "next-gen" audience engaged.

A key part of the deal is a global creator program, which will grant selected influencers behind-the-scenes access to training sessions, press conferences, and exclusive events, providing unique perspectives beyond the traditional 90-minute broadcast.
