Thibaut Courtois acquires goalkeeper glove brand from his early career
The Belgian goalkeeper has become the majority shareholder and brand ambassador of REAL Gloves, reconnecting with the company after more than 10 years.
Founded in Germany in 1993, the brand established its presence in Belgium in 2001. Courtois wore REAL gloves throughout his early academy and first-team days at KRC Genk before taking the leap to Europe's elite.
In his new role as owner, the Real Madrid shot-stopper will drive the firm's international expansion, wear the gloves in official matches, and actively participate in product design.
With this move, Courtois returns to REAL Gloves following a career spent with major technical suppliers, including Nike, Adidas, and most recently Elite Sport. The venture further expands his business portfolio, adding to his existing club investments in Le Mans FC, CD Extremadura, and KRC Genk.
