The Premier League recorded 1.55 billion euros in purchases
The pass market in England came to an end. The Premier League started a new season with some new faces and others that opted for new destinations. With the departure of Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku as the most important, the English contest culminated this transfer period with a record of 1.55 billion euros in purchases.
Without hiring, this pass market once again showed the great fairness between the Premier League clubs. While the main sets in disbursing money were Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea; the remaining institutions that make up the contest were able to make transfers of non-minor amounts, such as Brighton when acquiring the Adam Webster card.
Analyzing club by club, Manchester City is who else has spent. With an amount of 168 million euros, the brand-new Premier League champion continues to assemble a team that seeks to remain in history for the three-time championship but above all make the Champions League dream come true. Behind them is the other group of Manchester, United, who invested 159 million euros and in third place is Arsenal with an expense of € 152.4 million.
As for the most expensive players, this Premier League pass market placed English defender Harry Maguire as the most expensive. Manchester United acquired its services by paying Leicester City 87 million euros. As soon as Nicolás Pépé arrived in Arsenal from LOSC Lille for the sum of € 80 million.
