The Esports World Cup will pay more than the CONMEBOL Libertadores and UEFA Champions League finals
The EWC organization announced that the 2026 edition will distribute a total of 75 million dollars in prize money.
That figure is higher than the bonus for the finals of the two most important club tournaments in the world of football, the UEFA Champions League (€25M) and the CONMEBOL Libertadores (U$S 24M).
The EWC also defined the date and venue: it will take place between July 6 and August 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will bring together more than 2,000 players from 100 countries across 24 different games.
The first edition was played in 2024, with a prize pool of U$S 62 million that increased to 70 million for 2025, a tournament that featured Cristiano Ronaldo as the official ambassador.
