Commonwealth Bank will be the new sponsor of the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023

Commonwealth Bank will be a new sponsor of the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023. It will work alongside the International Football Federation and Association on initiatives and activations as the countdown continues to the biggest women's sporting event on the planet, in particular the Players' Companion Program, in which 1,500 children from 6 to 10 years old will accompany the soccer players on the field before matches.

“Through its investment in Australian rules football from 2021, the Commonwealth Bank demonstrated a genuine commitment to increasing women's football participation, creating opportunities and championing leadership. These goals are in line with the goals of FIFA's own women's football strategy, making this partnership truly unique. We look forward to working closely together in the coming months as together we aspire to inspire children and communities through the power of women's football,” said Sarai Bareman, director of women's football at the world football regulator.

“This is an exciting time for women's sport in Australia and around the world. With 64 games in Australia and New Zealand, the FIFA Women's World Cup is the biggest women's sporting event in the world. After nearly 25 years of investing in women's sport through our partnerships with Football Australia and Cricket Australia, this partnership reinforces our commitment to supporting Australian rules football from grassroots to elite level," said Monique Macleod, Marketing Executive and Australian Bank Corporate Affairs.
