Sprite returns to the NBA after 11-year hiatus

The lemon-lime soda has officially reclaimed its spot as a sponsor for the premier American basketball league.

The global partnership was inked between the NBA and The Coca-Cola Company, replacing PepsiCo’s Starry brand, which had served as the league's "official soft drink" since 2023.

As part of the agreement, Sprite will launch custom cans featuring 17 different franchises and has tapped star player Anthony Edwards as its primary brand ambassador.

The original alliance between Coca-Cola and the NBA began in 1986 and spanned nearly 30 years until 2015; this deal marks Sprite's high-profile return to the hardwood after 11 years away.
