No More Red for London

No More Red for London

In the meeting between Arsenal and Nottingham Forest there was a particular event. The Gunners did not wear their historic red kit and instead wore an all-white kit, for the first time in their history.

It is an awareness campaign about the violent events that occurred in London in the last year, more than 10,000 knife crimes and 30 young people murdered throughout 2021.

Throughout the campaign, Adidas will support the creation of safe spaces to play soccer, tutoring and training for young people.

This initiative was joined by Gunners legend Ian Wright, who declared "By giving young people more places to play sports, more support and access to people who can inspire them, together we can help make a difference for young people in London" .

Figures not related to sports, such as actor Idris Alba and Dj Emerald Rose Lewis, among others, also joined the campaign.

The set used in the third round of the FA cup will not be commercialized, but will be donated to people and organizations linked to the anti-violence campaign, who are collaborating and creating a positive environment for young people.
