Nike revolutionizes the smart shoe market
Turn on and turn off the lights of a house, change the TV channel, turn on the car engine or simply listen to music, have been the most innovative utilities that a user can use on a Smartphone. In 2019, the technology came to the sneakers of the hand of Nike to revolutionize the basketball market with Anthony Davis, current player of New Orleans Pelicans of the NBA. The new Nike Adapt BB has the peculiarity of being able to control the adjustment of the cords through an app of the Smartphone. The American multinational has been developing this technology for years (in 2016 launched the first shoe with robotic laces baptized HyperAdapt 1.0) but in this opportunity, puts this development in pursuit of sport.
Compared to the technology used in previous models, the Adapt BBs are controlled from the phone app and are independent of each foot. On the application screen there are two letters that correspond to Left and Right (left and right in English), so that rising or falling in each one will adjust more or less to the foot. The truth is that the Nike Adapt BB have an internal battery that has a range close to 14 days, after this time, they must be charged using a USB cable. The new shoes will go on sale in February in the United States at a price close to 350 dollars.
