MLS comes to Apple TV
Major League Soccer is the American and Canadian soccer league and one of the most important in the Americas. MLS is looking to expand around the world and, to do so, it has closed an agreement with Apple TV to be able to broadcast all the league's games for the next 10 years starting in 2023. The new contract for the audiovisual rights represents a total profit for the MLS of 2.5 billion dollars.
"For the first time in sports history, fans will be able to have everything related to a major professional sports league in one place," said Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of Services, in a statement released by MLS. The subscription price is US$250, although some can be seen for free from the app.
