Spotify adds the Catalan language in its app thanks to FC Barcelona

Spotify adds the Catalan language to its application due to its alliance with FC Barcelona and with the aim of getting closer to the family of the Spanish team and the institution's commitment to the region of Catalonia. Starting this month, the Swedish company will add the Catalan language and it will be available in a total of 63 languages.

“Our alliance with Spotify goes far beyond a commercial relationship, it is a strategic relationship. From the beginning of our relationship, they understood our idiosyncrasies, and a good proof of this is their commitment to the Catalan language, the Club's official language, with the development of the Spotify app and website in our language", said the president of the European club, Joan Laporta.

"We are grateful to the fans of FC Barcelona for the warm welcome they have given to Spotify Camp Nou this year. As part of our ongoing partnership and commitment to bring the world of football and music closer together, the Spotify app experience will support into Catalan from October so that Club fans can now enjoy Spotify more easily", said Marc Hazan, VP Business Development and Partnerships.
