La Liga announces "Retro Weekend" takeover

 For one round of the Spanish championship, clubs will take the pitch wearing kits inspired by iconic historical editions from their archives.

The event is scheduled for the weekend of April 10–13, coinciding with Matchday 31 of La Liga EA Sports and Matchday 35 of La Liga Hypermotion.

Participation will include nearly all clubs, with the notable exceptions of FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Getafe, and Rayo Vallecano, due to various licensing and branding conflicts. The initiative is being launched in collaboration with the Legends Museum, Madrid’s premier space dedicated to football history.

The vintage-inspired collection will be officially unveiled on March 19 during Madrid Fashion Week, under the campaign slogan: "A collection that never goes out of style."

The throwback aesthetic will extend beyond the kits; the match ball, referee uniforms, and even the television broadcast graphics will be rebranded to reflect the retro theme.
