Kappa leads among technical sponsors in the Liga Profesional
As the Torneo Apertura begins, we review the brands dressing the teams in the top tier of Argentine football.
With four teams (Aldosivi, Atl. Tucumán, Huracán, and Tigre), Kappa positions itself just above Umbro (Argentinos Juniors, Belgrano, and Lanús) and Givova (Gimnasia LP, Instituto, and Unión), with three each.
There are five brands dressing two clubs each: Le Coq Sportif (Rosario Central and Talleres), Macron (Banfield and Vélez Sarsfield), Puma (Independiente and Platense), Adidas (Boca Juniors and River Plate), and AiFit (Independiente Rivadavia and Newell's).
Nine other technical sponsors share the rest of the apparel in the League: Nike, KDY, Atomik, Ruge, AdHoc, Mitre, Retiel, IFK, and Kion. It is worth noting that Deportivo Riestra does not have a contract with any brand, but instead purchases generic Adidas jerseys and prints its logo and sponsor on them.
