FIFA unveiled the official mascots for the 2026 World Cup
Three characters represent each host country:
Clutch (American eagle), Zayu (Mexican jaguar), and Maple (Canadian moose) - all portrayed as footballers from their national teams
According to FIFA, these mascots "were created to bring to life the cultural richness, heritage, and spirit of each host nation while promoting unity, diversity, and passion for the world's most popular sport."
This isn't the first World Cup with three mascots: Korea-Japan 2002 featured Ato, Kaz, and Nik (animated coach and player characters) in the last multi-host tournament.
