Cristiano Ronaldo becomes a shareholder in Spanish club
The Portuguese superstar has acquired a 25% stake in UD Almería, currently competing in the Spanish second division.
The transaction was executed through his firm CR7 Investments, a subsidiary of CR7 S.A. which manages his sports-related business ventures.
The remaining 75% of the Andalusian club is still owned by the Saudi-based SMC Group, which acquired the team in May 2025 for a figure close to €100 million.
This is not Ronaldo's first venture into sports ownership; he already owns a padel complex and a chain of gyms in Portugal. Additionally, he holds a 15% stake in Al-Nassr, a percentage expected to increase once he retires and transitions into a primary global ambassador for the club.
