Argentine tennis joins forces in a solidarity campaign for children with autism
The "Démosle pelota al autismo" (Give autism some attention/ball) initiative consists of collecting tennis balls to donate to public schools to reduce the noise caused by dragging chairs and tables.
It was created by the INECO neuroscientific research foundation in conjunction with the marketing agency Mercado McCann, as part of the Road to Australia tournament held in Buenos Aires last weekend.
During each match, there were ball collection bins where all the balls that would no longer be used in play were accumulated. The Foundation plans to continue the initiative in 2026 with various collection points throughout Buenos Aires.
Figures from Argentine sports and entertainment, such as Ricardo Darín, Delfina Pignatiello, Luis Novaresio, Morena Beltrán, and Germán Beder, among others, participated in the campaign video.
