An English club has banned its fans from wearing fake jerseys.

This refers to Sheffield Wednesday, which competes in the EFL Championship (second division).

Through an official statement, the club announced to its fans that wearing unofficial jerseys inside the stadium is prohibited, and those who do so “could be asked to leave.”

An official jersey costs £69 for the adult version and £53 for the children’s version, and the club suggests purchasing them exclusively at the Owls Megastore.
