A UEFA Europa League team replaced its beer sponsor with an awareness campaign

Austrian Sturm Graz played against Feyenoord with the message "Stop violence against women" on its jersey.

The reason for the change was the laws of the Netherlands, where the match was played, which prohibit the promotion of alcoholic beverages on the apparel of athletes or teams.

The action was planned with a local NGO that provides shelter to women victims of gender-based violence, and had the support of Puntigamer, the team's sponsor beer.

The match-worn jerseys will be auctioned, and all proceeds will go to the Sturm Graz foundation. This is not the first time the team has adapted to laws in other countries with such a campaign, as in 2025 they played in Norway with the logo of a childcare NGO.
