The NFL will have its own streaming service
The National Football League, better known as the NFL, is the largest league in American football and one of the most powerful in the world of sports. It has 32 teams that are divided into two conferences where the best of each will play the SuperBowl, cataloged as one of the best sporting events in history. In order to reach younger fans, it will launch its own streaming service called NFL+.
It will offer live competitive games and provide subscribers with exclusive content created by the teams, as well as materials in other formats, such as podcasts or radio programs for those who like American sports. Although there is no exact launch date, nor how much the subscription will cost, the estimated price would be five dollars a month and it will be available for cell phones.
“We really believe that these new platforms give us the ability to innovate where we are today. Obviously, it makes it more available to our consumers, particularly the younger group, which is who we really want to reach. I think this will make it more accessible to fans. It will be a better experience for the fans. The app is really at an early stage. It will be an important strategy for us in the future.” Said Roger Goodell, commissioner of the sports association.
