The Mexican National Team to auction its World Cup jerseys
"El Tri" has signed a partnership through 2031 with MatchWornShirt, a company specializing in the auction of match-worn apparel.
All jerseys worn by Mexico's players during the March friendly against Portugal are currently available on the website, with those from every World Cup match soon to follow.
Several jerseys feature player signatures on the back, with estimated prices ranging between $300 and $1,200.
Authenticity is guaranteed via an NFC technology chip, similar to those implemented by companies like SUIG Legacy in Argentine football.
MWS holds official agreements with over 300 clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Arsenal FC. Mexico is the third national team to sign a partnership with the platform, following Peru and Spain's women's team in 2021.
